Gridiot
Fill a line, take it away. Nothing turns.
How it plays
A grid puzzle about where things go. Place a piece anywhere it fits on an eight-by-eight board; fill a whole row or column and it clears.
You hold three pieces and can play any of them, in any order. Nothing rotates, so you place exactly what you are dealt, and which piece, and where is the whole decision.
There is no single square. The smallest piece covers two cells, so an empty cell with nothing empty beside it is gone for good. The run ends when none of your three will fit anywhere.
- 1
Choose a piece
Any of the three in your hand.
- 2
Drop it in
Anywhere it fits, exactly as it comes.
- 3
Clear the lines
Full rows and columns clear. More at once scores more.
Three ways to play
-
Endless
Chase a high score while the levels climb and the pieces get heavier.
-
The daily puzzle
One puzzle a day, the same for everyone in the world, with a board to see how you stacked up.
-
Head to head
Share a four-digit code. Everyone is dealt the identical pieces, so it comes down to where you put them.
Every piece is cast in one of eight metal finishes, one for each shape, on a saddle-stitched leather table.
